Hi..!
I am in B.Com Hons 1st Year. While preparing for Civil Services..I want to keep pursuing my masters in Economics..so that I have my options open in case I don't get into CS. My first choice is obviously Delhi School of Economics..for which there is an entrance.

My question is: will my background in Commerce be an obstacle in having my masters in Eco.?

I have compleleted my graduation in commerce now i'm intrested in masters in Economics so it is possible and i also want to know advantages of doing it as in my career and which is the best option for universities or institute in mumbai.Plz help me in this.

I have completed my 12th commerce wit maths. wat shud i opt for honours for my b.com? i m least interested in doing c.a or icwai. Will accontancy hons be of any use to me then?

Look you have tot be more focused in your career, which path you want to be in or follow. So, if you are from Science stream then there is a wider scope of career, and if you are from commerce stream then even lots of scopes are still left there, so you have to choose which path you want to choose, engineering, medical, pure commerce like B.Com with CA or ICWA or CS, Fashion designing, Animation, hotel managment, Biotechnology, Law, army and many more.

So you have to be focused which path you want to follow, so first decide calmly and confirm yourself that i will opt for this path only nothing else.

Eligibility Qualification for Masters in Economics

1. Any graduate with exposure to Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/Physics are welcome. B.Tech and B.E. graduates may also apply. Graduates from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at graduation level.
2. Students appearing for final year examinations can apply but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at qualifying examination.
