BA Programme and BA Hons Economics? difference in doing BA honors Economics and BA Programme as Economics as one disciplinary course?

Hello friend,

The honors course is much higher course than a general pass course.
So there are big difference between an honors course and a pass course.

Again lagging one year only to get the chance for honors course will not be a good decision.
Right now you carry on with the pass course, score good marks in finals.

After that,you can attempt the entrance of MA from JNU.

The standard of honours course is little bit higher than ordinary BA. But as you are pusuing for simple BA from DU in economics, you are eligible to appear for the MA economics from JNU. To score over other competetors you have to do more hard work.

The course of simple BA program is not regarded as reputed as BA with honors in economics.
In the honors course you have to give much importance in the special subject taken as honors.
But in plain BA all subjects are of same priority and there is no special subject like in honors course.

hi i am tanya, a b.a prog student. i have eco and maths as main subjects. i wanted to do mba after graduation. will i be will be considered equivalent to a honours student at the time of recruitment?

No for honours subject you will have to study any one subject in final year .In your case you need to study either maths or economics in final year but have both maths and eco so your anot doing honours in any subject you are doing simple graduation
