Can I start preparing for the IFS examination while being in 2nd year of M.Sc?
I am doing my 2nd year of M.Sc in Botany. Now, is it the correct time to prepare for Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination? Or, should I want until completion of my M.Sc Botany?

Yes, if want to join the service then you must start preparation for the examination.
Examination for selection of I.F.S Officer is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted in three stages. The first stage ( Preliminary examination ) is conducted along with Civil Service examination. The other two stages conducted separately. The age limit is 21-32 years. For information regarding the syllabus and other detail visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

Examination is conducted in three stages. So, if you want to join the service you will have to focus on the preparation with dedication, determination and devotion. If you can handle your academic course along with giving minimum 5-6 hours for preparation then you can start the preparation for examination now or else later.
