it depends on your interest, you college and your subjects which you are interested in.
Different college have different cut off for various streams.

you have average marks so you will have to get satishfied with not so good college.
but you will be able to get science. Dont compromise on your branch or subjects as it would be with your through out your life, your college would be with you for sometime

CGPA is not at all a problem.If you have interest& Basic concepts in Science stream.If you really want to go for Science stream you can go don't think about CGPA.

But my suggestions is Science stream means you should go for Bi.P.C But don't stop studies in middle continue and become a good doctor.

SIR, what is the minimum CGPA to be obtained in class x for opting science stream, and how is it calculated?

You can easily get into the science stream well if you are interested, and if u prefer choosing science with computer science it will be much better and you get a lot of opportunities and streams to choose.....
later on you can go for computer science or any other bachelor's degree......
it's nothing like only some degree will earn u more, but if you show more interest towards the subject
surely you can be the lead .......!!

what is the use of taking computer science with PCM (physics,chemistery & maths) with 2 language for 11 th science. computer science will be an optional subject -correct? Taking computer science will be an additional extra effort where more time will have to spend on it when I have decidded to go for BE or BTECH only. AMEY

Yes friend after scoring 7.8cgpa you can take science stream easily.

For information if you opt for PCM then you can get bigger opportunities for example you can appear entrance exam through which you can get admission to Engineering/B.Pharma/BCA/Computer Science etc If you opt PCB then you can study medical/BDS/Agri BSC and so on.

Obviously you can! Nobody can ask for cgpa more than ten. I wonder why have you even thought of asking such a question! By the way, Congratulations on your cgpa!

Yes you can certainly take science as there is no minimum CGPA you need to be eligible for the science stream.
Although your CGPA is not very high and especially for computer science it is low.
You may have to go through a host of colleges to find a seat for you in computer science.
Usually good, well reputed colleges' cut-off marks for science and that too computer science is 9.0.
But there are many colleges in which you can still definitely get a seat for computer science.
After 12th if you still feel that you are interested in computer science then you can opt for engineering in C.S or IT or B.C.A etc. courses.
