Can I write the NET CSIR exam for Geoinformatics?


I am doing MS.c in geoinformatics after completing BS.c in physics. can i write NET-CSIR exam for geoinformatics?

Having Done M.Sc in Geoinformatics, you may take Earth Science as your subject for the National Eligibility Test conducted jointly by CSIR and UGC.
There is no separate subject for geoinformatics in the list of the subjects.

The Syllabus comprise of:
  • Earth Science
  • Atmospheric Science
  • Ocean Science
  • Planetary Science
To write the exam, you must have scored a minimum of 55% in your Masters degree program.

I AM MASTERS IN CHEMISTRY WITH 54% MARKS. LATER I PURSUED ONE YEAR GEOINFORMATICS COURSE FROM PUNE UNIVERSITY.
CAN I APPEAR FOR LECTURERSHIP (NET) WITH EARTH SCIENCE SUBJECT? I AM ALREADY 33 YEARS.
