All graduates who can apply for UPSC Civil Services Examination if they satisfy other
eligibility criteria i.e. Age, nationality etc. Discipline wise there is no restriction. (The graduation degree should have been obtained from a recognised university) The allowed age limit is as under. 21-30 years for GEN category 21-33 years for OBC category 21-35 years for SC/ST/PH category. UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted conducted in two stages. 1. Preliminary Examination The is also called CSAT. This test is common for all the applicants. The CSAT questions are asked from following subjects. General studies (History, Geography,Politics, Economics and social development, General Science) English & Mathematical Aptitude. 2. Main Exam and Interview If you qualify Preliminary exam then only you can appear Main exam. After Main exam shortlisted candidaets are called for interview. Main examination has 9 papers in total. I. Indian Language Qualifying Paper (300 marks) II. English Qualifying Paper (300 marks) III. General Essay type paper (200 marks) IV. General Studies (Paper-I & II 300 marks each) V. Optional subject-I (Paper-I & II 300 marks each) VI. Optional subject-II (Paper-I&II 300 marks each) No matter what was your discipline in graduation you can choose any two subjects from the following list of subjects. 1. Agriculture 2. Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science 3. Anthropology 4. Botany 5. Chemistry 6. Civil Engineering 7. Commerce and Accountancy 8. Economics 9. Electrical Engineering 10. Geography 11. Geology 12. History 13. Law 14. Management 15. Mathematics 16. Mechanical Engineering 17. Medical Science 18. Philosophy 19. Physics 20. Political Science and International Relations 21. Psychology 22. Public Administration 23. Sociology 24. Statistics 25. Zoology But, following combinations of optional subjects are not allowed. - Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration; - Commerce & Accountancy and Management; - Anthropology and Sociology; - Mathematics and Statistics; - Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science. - Management and Public Administration; - Any two engineering subjects - Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science. Graduate from any discipline can apply for Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year for selection of IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS etc.
The candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview which is of three phases:- CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test-Preliminary Exam Civil Service main Exam Personal Interview As you are a Graduate Engineer in Computer Science, you are eligible to apply for Civil Service Exam. A computer Science student are eligible for all the exams conducted by UPSC except IES.
Eligibility for IES: EC/EE/MECHANICAL/CIVIL Engineers can only apply Required Qualification to appear for Civil Services Exam -You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute. -You are for civil service exam while in graduation final year. -UPSC Civil service exam has no restriction on graduation percentage. -Your Age should be within the limit of 21 to 23 years. -You must be a citizen of India. yes you can apply for UPSE in future being a computer science candidate in B.Tech.......For attempting UPSC (Union
Public Service Commission) you must have a degree from a recognized university. age group from 21 years to 30 are eligible . computer science student is eligible for the exam because b.tech is also a type of degree and the thing is that you must be complete it from a recognized university . |

Hai, Yes you are eligibile for UPSC(Union Public Service Commission), this exam was conducting every year one time. Any graduate can compulsory eligible for UPSC exam, but the candidate can fulfill the following age criteria. For general candidates the age should be 21 years to 30 years, For OBC candidates the age should be 21 years to 33 years, For SC/ST candidates the age should be 21 years to 35 years. Examination pattern for every UPSC exam is Preliminary exam, Main exam and Personal interview.
