Can we become an IAS officer after taking science?
sir is that we can take up science to become an ias officer? what will we have to do after we persue science

Its great that you are planning
well in advance for your future. Well, to become an IAS officer you should be a graduate first. IAS eligibility states that you should be a graduate in any field. After that you will need to appear for 3 stage exam 1) Preliminary exam 2) Mains exam 3) Interview After you pass the prelims test you will be called for the mains which is held after 2 months or so. After clearing mains you will need to appear for interview All the stages carries certain marks so if you dont clear one you are out of the race. So since you are in 12th you should prepare well in general knowledge section as thats the most important part of the exam. |

Hai,.
you need to satisfy the following eligibility criteria 1) The candidate should be an Indian 2) The candidate should be graduation in any stream from the recognized college 3) The candidates age should lie between 21 and 30 ( relaxation for OBC and ST/SC will be given) 4) The candidates should know at least any one of Indian languages 5) The candidates can either be male or female. Yes you can bacome IAS after taking science. Eligibility criterion for IAS:- 1) He/She must have completed his graduation in any stream from a recognized University.. 2) He/She must be within the age limit of 21-30 years if he is a general candidate, must be 21-33 years if he is an OBC candidate and 21-35 years if SC/ST.. 3) The maximum number of attempts allowed for each candidate belonging to the general category is 4,for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit.. IAS-INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE, to become an IAS officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age 21 to 30 years of age. The selection of Civil Service exam is through three stages:- CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test-Preliminary exam Civil Service Main Exam Personal Interview So whatever subject you take in Graduation you have the option to take optional subjects in Civil Service Main exam according to your choice from the prescribed syllabus as provided. First of all all the best wishes for you I am listing the criteria required for doing IAS below. Iam providing some additional information too. After taking science in plus two or degree, you can surely go for IAS. Eligibility Criteria For IAS (i) Age limits : 21-30 years as on 1.7.2012. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified in Para 3(ii) of Notice). (ii) Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification (Para 3(iii) of Notice). (iii) No. of permissible attempts : Four (Seven attemps of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs (Para 3 (iv) of Notice) (iv) Fee : Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) (No fee for SCs/STs/Physically disabled only) I am searching for some questions papers which will be very usefull to you. UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission.it conducts exams in every year for government posts. Eligibility criteria for UPSC exams:- **Educational qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university. **there is no percentage criteria required for UPSC exams. Age limit and attempts:- **for general graduates 21 to 30years and 4 limit **for BC graduates 21 to 33years and 7 limit **for Sc/st graduates 21 to 35years and no limit. **you fulfill the eligibility criteria and then apply in online and offline. **the exams are Preliminary and mains exams.prepare well all the best |

UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). It conducts exams in every year for government posts.
