Category preference for civil engineers in IFS exams? What is the eligibility criteria for that?


which category preference for civil engg in ifs exams. and in final year can i write that exams.. and what eligibility in that?

Dear Aspirant,


IFS stands for Indian Forest Service this Examination is conducted by UPSC every year.....

As you have mention that you have completed your Civil Engineering then you are surely eligible for applying this exam....

Educational Qualification:


A candidate have completed their Graduation Degree in any Field with at least 50% from Recognized Universities......

Final Year Graduation Student can also applicable....

Age Limit:


General Age Limit should be between 21 to 30 years, There is relaxation available for Reserved category Like OBC +3 years and for SC/ST +5 years on upper age.......

Attempt Limit:


General Attempt Limit is 4 times, relaxation is available for reserved category Like OBC 7 times and there is no Attempt Limit for SC/ST Category......

Selection Procedure:

  1. Prelim Exam
  2. Main Exam
  3. Personal Interview

  • Agriculture
  • Agricultural Engineering
  • Animal Husbandary & Veterinary Science
  • Botany
  • Chemistry
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Forestry
  • Geology
