Which course I need to opt for after 12th if I have to become a fashion designer in future?


Halo sir/madam,

I am doing 12th now I was interested to become fashion designer so what should I study for that and tel me the best colleges to study fashion designer. Can you please guide me with the information on the same? Awaiting for the answer.

To become fashion designer you need to take admission in Good institute of fashion designing.

In Delhi there are many excellent institutes of fashion designing with affordable fees structure. So you may take admission in these:
1. Hamilton Academy of fashion designing ,New Delhi
2.International School of fashion design, Delhi
3.International Institute of Fashion Technology,New Delhi.

You should opt for Bachelor Programmes in Design (B.Des)(Fashion Design) after 12th if you wish to become a fashion designer .

The eligibility criteria for the course is that the applicant should have passed the 12th examination in the 10+2 pattern with 50% marks from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination.

Admission in prominent institutes are carried out through written test, situation test, group discussion and interview.

Some of the institutes in which you can opt for this course are :

National institute of Fashion technology (NIFT).

National Institute of Design (NID).

International Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi (IIFT).

IEC School of Art and Fashion, New Delhi.

Indian Institute of Art and Fashion Technology (IIAFT), Mumbai.

Pearl Academy of fashion, New Delhi.

J.D Institute of fashion Technology, New Delhi.

You can do B.des course to become fashion designer in the future.

The basic eligibility for B.Des is ;

Educational Qualification:
1. You must complete 12th from a recognized board in India.
2. other wise you must have completed 3 years diploma course in fashion designing.
3. You must be a Indian citizen.
.
Duration of the B.Des course:
1. The duration of B.Des course is 3 years.

The admission is based on a merit of entrance exam conducted by the university you are applying for.

Basically the classes of the course will be started by the month of July.
