Punjab Technical University Common Entrance Test (PTU CET) is an entrance examination conducted by Punjab Technical University.

Important Dates:

• Last date of submission of completed forms: First week of April, 2011

Last date for receipt of completed application : May 23, 2011

The candidate can purchase the application form from the University Counter or by post or from select branches of AXIS Bank or by filling the application form on University website.


Details of Application Fee and Examination Fee:

Application form obtained from University counter by paying cash : Rs 1500/-

Application form obtained by post sending a DD : Rs 1550/-

Candidates filling the application form on the University website must fill the complete details, take the print out of the form and attach the DD with the form. Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1500/- should be made in favour of the Thapar University, Patiala and payable at Patiala. Complete applications must be sent to "Incharge Admission Cell", Thapar University, Patiala (Punjab) - 147004.


LATERAL ENTRY ADMISSION TO THE SECOND YEAR OF UG PROGRAMME

2.1 ELIGIBILITY:
A candidate shall be eligible for admission in the BE/BTech programmes subject to the following conditions:
The candidate
(i) has passed
(a) diploma, in relevant discipline, of minimum 3 years duration after matriculation
OR
(b) diploma, in relevant discipline, of minimum 2 years duration after 10+2 from Polytechnic College/Institute affiliated with State Board of Technical Education/University, or recognized by UGC/AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks ( 55% for SC/ST) in aggregate or equivalent grade point.
(ii) has qualified LEET-TU with at least 20% aggregate marks (15% for SC/ST candidates).
(iii) possesses a good moral character.
(iv) is a citizen of India.

Thappar university has declared its admission dates for LEET exam.
Last date to apply was on 23rd May 2011.
Exam will be from 15th June 2011 to 20th June 2011.
Eligibility needs that you should have completed your Diploma of 3 years.

Date for applying this year has already lapsed So you can apply for it only in next year.
