Re: Is a dental problem an issue for joining Army?
Hi
The dental problem only arises in Indian army when you teeth are not in sound condition. Means to say that you will able to speech clearly otherwise you will be rejected. The complete medical standard needed for the Indian army is given below: Height: Minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cm Relax able to 1.52 cm in case of Gurkha's, Assamese, Garhwalis etc. Weight: Weight should be proportional to height. For example for 157.5 height, minimum weight should be 49.5 Kg. TEETH: 1.The teeth should be in sound condition. 2. In case of loss of teeth, the candidate must have 14 dental points out of maximum 22 points possible. Beside this other medical standards are: 1.Free from any disease, effects of injury or disability. 2.There should be no disease of the eye, ear, nose and throat. 3.There should be no skin disease. 4.There should be no disease of the kidney and urine must be free from sugar. So the above medical standards are generally required in the selection of the Indian Army. GOOD LUCK |

Re: Is a dental problem an issue for joining Army?
Yes,you are right that dental problem is not an issue for the army.To join an Army you have to appear for the physical fitness test at least twice per year. There are three events which are measured: push-ups, sit-ups, and a timed two-mile run. And dental is your internal problem, so take it lightly.

Re: Is a dental problem an issue for joining Army?
Dear friend ,
During medical exam if there is a problem then the candidate would be rejected on account of being temporary unfit and would be again tested after a short period if there is a no progress the the candidate would be rejected. So major problem would matter a lot. Best wishes !!!!!!!! |

Re: Is a dental problem an issue for joining Army?
no,
dental problem are not big problem but yes it is your teeth sound as well as anotherwise nothing is impotant. but following test part of army- 1: check your blood pressure(remember to stay calm and take a deep breath---make it lower) 2: eye test( you look into a little scope deal and just ramble off letters) 3:Breathalyzer(so don't use mouth wash before you go) 4: hearing test( you sit there with a button and you press everytime you hear a sound) 5: draw blood (not as bad as you think...just look away) |

Re: Is a dental problem an issue for joining Army?
-Dear aspirant,
-You should have 14 dental points. -Yes you can apply for NDA exam with the age of 18 years but you should be 10+2 passed. -IF you want to apply only for Army then you can pass 10+2 with any subjects but if you wish to join Air force and navy through NDA exam then you should pass 10+2 with physics and maths . -Your age should be 16 1/2 to 19 years for NDA exam. -You have to pass the objective type paper and then you will be called for SSB interview which is of 5 days duration. BEST OF LUCK... |
