First of all WHAT IS PRIVATE AND DISTANCE EDUCATION?

1.Private mode
This study is some what relevant to a Correspondence education which is offered by the Open Universities like IGNOU, KSOU etc...
whereas;
2.Distance education
This refers to a University which held courses through different study centers all over the country like PTU, SMU, Annamalai University etc.

Correspondence and distance learning are basically the same but carries a less value as compared to regular course. You should always prefer for a regular mode instead of these two. If you are still interested to pursue through either of them then you should watch out for a good and recognized University.

It is relevant to know that, the preference is always given to regular pass outs due to their better and competitive quality.
The course pursued through either of these non-regular modes are allowed to pursue higher education like MBA.
Also it may be good for you to know that you will have higher chance to go for a Masters through the same mode with a private or distance degree.

Thanks!

Hi

I am sorry to say that you are a little bit confused about the education MODES and type of Institutions. I am hereby going to elaborate more on both of them that you wish to know. So at first lets talk about the DISTANCE EDUCATION.

I must inform you that there are two modes of education :

1.) REGULAR MODE / FULL TIME MODE

2.) DISTANCE MODE / PART TIME MODE

So in the Regular mode of education you are to enroll yourself in a particular college or university with your previous academic qualifications. Suppose you gave your 12th board exams and then you took admission in Delhi University for a Regular course. That would mean that you have to go to the college daily for studies, labs, attendance and other related activities.

BUT! On the other hand there are many universities and colleges who give Distance mode of education. In that you have to enroll yourself in that and pay the fees (which is usually very very less as compared to the Regular programs) and then you would get postal books, study materials and all other documents with which you can study at home or while at work etc. This is an advantage for all those who are working and want to study along side. But trust me, the value of Distance Education in INDIA specially in such a competitive market is 0.

Its not of any good use and you just waste your money and time also energy and end up with a distance education degree which is not of any use until you have done it from a good university and also have years of experience in hand.

Personally speaking I would always prefer a Regular course, give it regular time and focus so that it can fruit better life and opportunities for me. Now coming to the Private thing that you said, Its the type of organization or University.

In India there are two types of Universities which are PRIVATE and GOVERNMENT. So as the names suggest they are taken and function under the category. The government Universities charge much less money and provide very high and fine quality of education where as the private ones are selectively good and you cannot take up courses in any of them. You have to be very careful and selective when it comes to private University courses.

Hope this helps
All the best
Regards

The meaning of the two words Distance and Private Graduation is almost same.

To the best of my knowledge, there are 2 kinds of education which one can opt for

(a).Distance Education
(b).Regular Education

Many of the colleges will complete the academic courses in regular mode which is the best mode to finish.

But for those people who will not find time to go for college on regular basis, they will opt for distance education.

Distance Education will be better for the candidates at higher academic levels like Post Graduation.

But Graduation in Distance Learning is not a good choice from my side.

Because you should not be matured enough until and unless you complete your Graduation.

But if Graduation in Distance Education is the only alternative for you, then you can join that one.

In the distance education there is less scope for you to gain good subject knowledge and to enhance your communication skills as you will not be having much rapport with lecturers.

You should have to motivate yourself and should finish the syllabus to write the exams well.

Some top universities for Distance Education are
IGNOU
Ambedhkar University
Manipal University etc.

Wish you all the best

There is not much differnce between the private or distance education mode. Both are relevant terms except some extent. This method of study is mostly prefered when a person is unable to go on regular basis in college or university. In private or distance mode candidates are not required to go to college or university on regular basis.

Private education mode is said to the Correspondence course that is offered by open universitied like IGNOU or KSOU etc.

Distance education refers to the university course from various centers in all over the country like PTU, SMU etc.

Hello friend,
Candidates who have discontinued the I & II year of the courses from the colleges of this university or any other universities or from Institute of Distance Education Approved by UGC and AIV are considered for admission respectively to the II and III year eg. the course in the same or some other branch other faculty. This exemption is subject to the condition that they appear for the examinations conducted by this university and pass all the subjects for the entire course. They have to pay whole courses fees plus/for break in studies.
