Re: Difference between IES and Engineering Services?
If you have to become a high rank police officer in Government service you will go for IPS.similarly if you want to become high rank engineer in government companies in various sectors , you have to go for IES or Indian Engineering Services. With simple engineering degree you can't join at higher positions in government companies but with IES you can.
see this links for eligibility criteria and other information http://upscguide.com/upscexam/eligibility-1. I am not sure but i think computer guys are not allowed to sit In IES.It is for only guys with degree in core branches. |
