Re: Is doing MBA and MCom through distance good for career?
Hi,
As you are an employee, there are no option other than going for MBA through distance learning mode. In case of distance learning, one misses the group activities which is important in management studies. Chances of interactions, debating,or networking are very low hence. Although, the theoretical part can be gained easily in this course. Often, companies do not prefer to recruit candidates having done MBA through distance learning mode, as they suspect the candidate's eligibility of team work. Other than that, you have got no problem with this distance learning mode. Go for it.Good Luck! |

Re: Is doing MBA and MCom through distance good for career?
Dear friend
For bright future, I think MBA is the best option for you. If you want to make your career bright in future and want to jobs in BPO, then MBA is the best course for you. After completing MBA, you will get a good post in BPO with good salary pacakage. So, according to me, MBA is better than M.com, After completing your MBA you will definately get a good job and post in BPO's. So, please go for MBA and if you are interested in MBA, then you have to clear the OPENMAT exams, after clear this exams, you will get admission in MBA in IGNOU........ |

Re: Is doing MBA and MCom through distance good for career?
see BPO is not a good career option when you consider it in long run....Doing mcom as a distance learning program won't do you any world of good....You can think of doing distance mba from some reputed institute.....symbiosis pune is very good for distance learning program....And yes if you do distance program from good institute it will definitely add value to your profile....

Re: Is doing MBA and MCom through distance good for career?
Hi!!!!
MBA is a good option from distance learning while doing a job. It will really give you a better way to reach on your dream. BPO is a good career option nowadays but if you go in BPO sector after doing MBA they never select you. You know why because they need graduate persons having good communication skills and a person who have command on few languages and that kind of persons doesn't have more options so they stay for a long time. but after MBA you will have more options and they know that you have more options. thatswhay. with best wishes!!!! |

Re: Is doing MBA and MCom through distance good for career?
HI!
Since you are a working professional an MBA through distance mode will be the best option for you. Distance MBA pursued from a recognised university/institution will add weightage to your CV. MBA degree will increase your job opportunity manifold. You will also see a rise in your salary & growth prospect. Some of the best universities for distance MBA are: IGNOU Symbiosis distance learning university Sikkim Manipal university. BPO career is not good for long term as the promotional prospect is low. |

Re: Is doing MBA and MCom through distance good for career?
Hey,
Learning MBA through distance mode is off less value compared to doing MBA in a well recognized institute for 2 years,But since your working its well an good. As your working in B.P.O i think both MBA and M.com will add your value and get you promotions in that field,But working in B.P.O for a long period of time will lead you to no where as you know the max salary will be around Rs 20,000. I suggest you to do both the graduation courses from a good institute like Gitam University T.N.O.U I.G.N.O.U A.U J.N.T.U Sikkim Manipal University. all the best |

Re: Is doing MBA and MCom through distance good for career?
Perhaps both have common subjects. If u r specific on yr career path, then pursue any one with involvement in any of the reputed universities. For BPO job, u by now, understood the skill set required.. If it needs accounting and book-keeping skill set do MCom |

If you have no option then BPO is not a bad idea to start your career . You can be future leader of your group or branch. If you are in a good rank presently and you need to show only degree to get promotion then yes correspondence is good while doing job. MNC's offer good package B.Tech with MBA or MCA with MBA or graduation+MBA. Best of Luck |

Re: Is doing MBA and MCom through distance good for career?
Hi,
For some of the jobs it's ok but not for all. It depends what you want to be and where you want to apply after completion of you MBA and M.com. Most of the public sector companies won't prefer the distant education courses candidates like coal India, BHEL, BSNL, Hal etc so you need to check and then go for external. If you are already in the government sector and wants to do for promotion then it's ok but if you want job start up with that course in government then it's not worth doing external. Instead of that you can go for regular courses. So think and decide and then join for the course. |
