I am a girl and am an aspirant to join IAF. Can I give the SSB interview directly under TES after class 12th (Intermediate) if I score 75%+? If not, then what should I do? What are other options available to me?

TES stands for Technical Entry Scheme.

This scheme is only for male candidates. At 12th level, NDA, TES are for male candidates only. Female candidates are not eligible for these exams for joining Defence Services.

2. At present, there is no other option, you will have to pursue bachelor's degree to become eligible for AFCAT exam or CDS for joining IAF.

Being a girl candidate, only option available for your for joining Indian Air force is through AFCAT ( Air force Common Admission Test ) and for appearing in the same examination, you are required to have completed your graduation degree from a recognized university.

Further, I would like to let you know that on the basis of Class 12th education only unmarried male candidates are eligible for SSB ( Service Selection Board ) interview either through NDA (National Defense Academy ) entrance examination or through TES ( Technical Entry Scheme ).

Girls are not eligible for National Defence Academy exam as well as Technical Entry Scheme for joining Indian Defence Services.

Female candidates need to pursue bachelor's degree to become eligible for various exam at bachelor's degree like Combined Defence Services or Air Force Common Admission Test for joining Indian Air Force.

Candidates are not eligible for TES on the basis of score in 12th board examination.

It is necessary to qualify in JEE, to become eligible for SSB.

Candidates after qualifying in SSB, will become eligible for final selection as an officer.

There is no technical entry in Indian Air Force after 12th.

There is no TES entry in Indian Air Force and candidates can join after B.Tech course through UES.

Examination is conducted for selection as an officer in Indian Air Force.

You can join IAF through NDA entry. It is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.
