Sorry to say that you are not applicable for NET exam because your mastered degree have below 55% marks. You are from Backward Caste (OBC) but marks relaxation provide only SC/ST category. Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam. For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree. Part time course are not eligible for NET exam. For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years. For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years. NET exam is conduct because of govt college lecturer and PHD entrance. UGC NET consists of three papers 1) General studies (50 objective questions) 2) Your optional paper (50 objective questions) 3) Your optional paper (Subjective questions) Second paper will check only after qualifying the first paper and third paper will checked after qualifying the second paper. |

For appearing in the exam a candidate must fulfill the following minimum eligibility criterion :- 1) Candidates must have completed post graduation with an aggregate of 55% for general (50% above for reserved category) without rounding off.. 2) There is no age limit for applying for the lectureship but for applying for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) then you should be less than 28 years of age.. Yes, you are eligible to apply for NET after scoring 52.9% in post graduation as you are from reserved category.
NET- NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST is an exam conducted by UGC twice every year for selection for the post of lectureship and award of fellowship to JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) The eligible candidate should be a post graduate with at least 55% marks which is relaxed for reserved candidate at 50%. The National Eligibility Test (NET) is the national level entrance examination in India for postgraduate candidates who wish to qualify for admission in Ph.D research and/or university level teaching jobs in India. For the humanities and art discipline it is administered by the University Grants Commission (refereed as "UGC NET") while for the science and engineering discipline it is jointly conducted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and University Grants Commission ("CSIR-UGC" NET).
Qualification Criteria for NET exam The candidates must have completed Post Graduation in the desired subject. They must have secured Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% from any reputed college under UGC recognition. The candidates appearing for last semester exam can even attend NET exam. Thirty Five years is the maximum age limit. There is relaxation of 3 years OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. |

Eligible Criteria : 1. Educational Qualification : Minimum 12th pass candidate with English and P.C.M. (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) from any recognized board of Maharashtra are eligible for this. Generally in the month of February(last week) or in the first week of March and the result is published in the month of May. good luck. |
