The eligibility criteria to pursue for B.ed course is-
*Candidates who are applying for this exam must have a graduate degree or equivalent from any stream.
*They must have scored a minimum of 45 percent marks in the final exams. Only those students will be permitted to write for the exam who have already cleared the qualifying (final year) exam on or prior to the date of submission of the form. The applications of candidates who have not secured a pass in their qualifying exam will get rejected.

So, you should have graduation degree, no matter its from distance learning.

dear the eligibility for the course is graduation from a recognized university...
since you are a graduate you may definitely apply for it.

The application form along with prospectus can be obtained from the office of Principal
or Deputy Registrar by after the payment of Rs 100/-
Also the same can be obtained through post and should be submitted along with the DD of Rs 100/
- which should be drawn under the favor of Registrar, Dibrugarh University.
Application form can also be obtained by downloading it through website http://dibru.ac.in

Having a degree through distance learning should not be a problem if you have pursued the same from a recognised institute. You will need to check the minimum % required in the qualifying exam for admission. As the requirement will vary between 50-60% depending on the institute that you wish to apply. Also you will need to clear the entrance exam. You can download past papers and practice the same.

For B.E.D, minimum criteria is Graduate or higher from a recognized university to appear in B.ed. Min.45% required in Graduation.
You can apply for Govt. School teacher and age limit to apply for PGT post is 35-40 yrs , Principal 35-50 years, TGT is 35 years, Primary Teacher(PRT) is 30 yrs and LDC – 27 years
after completing b.ed the posts has different age limit.....the following are...

Principal :Age Limit : 35-50 Years

Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) : Age Limit: 40 Years

Drawing Teachers : Age Limit : 35 Years

Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) Computer Science : Age Limit: 40 Years

Music Teacher (MT) : Age Limit : 30 Years

There is no Maximum age limit for the B.ED course to register and you can appear for the entrance exams of the B.ED colleges anytime.

The Duration of the exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes and the exam consists of Multiple choice type questions and the paper also has negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

There are Five sections in the test of 15 Marks and 15 Questions Each:


Part A: General Awareness Test
Part B: Teaching Potential Test
Part C: General Mental Ability Test
Part D: Language Proficiency Test
Part E & F: Language Proficiency Test: English and/or Hindi

Yes you can apply for B.Ed entrance exam through distance mode.
But you have 2 year experience of teaching in any school in India.

Eligibility for B.Ed:-
> Pass graduation with any stream like B.Sc/ B.Com/ B.A etc with minimum 50% marks.
For ST/SC candidate minimum 45% marks is require.

There is no age limit for B.Ed through distance education.

Course fees is 20,000.

Duration of course is of 2 year.

Yes you can apply for any B.ed entrance exams after graduation. Regular mode or distance mode is not applicable eligibility for this course. Every colleges have their own norms regarding % criteria in graduation for taking admission in b.ed.
You can apply in central or state universities for Bachelor's of Education. Banaras Hindu university (BHU), Delhi university (DU), Mahatma gandhi anter rashtriy vishwavidyalaya (WARDHA ) etc also provide this course. You can apply in various state and private colleges also.

Yes, your eligible. It doesn't matter whether you have complete your graduation through a regular or distance mode. UGC has already clarified that degrees/diplomas of distance or open mode are treated as equal with regular degrees and diplomas.

You may visit the official website of UGC or you may explore any official websites of open/distance universities to find the letter issued by UGC regarding distance/open degrees or diplomas.
