i want to know abt the elligibility criteria of gre and toffel exam?

GRE is the exam required to get admission in higher education in US colleges.GRE Exam were conducted by ETS educational testing services.Everyone is eligible for taking the GRE Test - there are no

restrictions on age or qualifications. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) consists of three distinct sections , the Analytical Writing Assessment, Quantitative section, and Verbal section. TOEFL Test of English as foreign language.this exam also conducted by ETS.score of TOEFL is accepted in all universities and colleges. Both GRE are TOEFL computer based paper.

Eligibility criteria for GRE and TOEFL exams-

1. Four years bachelor's degree from any recognized university which is equivalent to that of USA.Three years bachelor's degree is not enough to apply for those exams .
2.Work expirience is always counted .If you have at least two to three years work expirience it will surely help you .
3.Past academic record are also hold a very important place .
4.Candidate should have the recommendation letter .

Getting admission in top US universities is not a matter of joke ,it needs to work heard.

1. GRE-Graduate Record Exam

The duration of this course is 360 hours

GRE or the Graduate Record Examination is taken up if one wants to go for postgraduate studies in the US. GRE is computer adaptive test and is conducted throughout the year in the first three weeks of every month. It is necessary that you take up the TOEFL examination along with the GRE examination. Score of GRE is valid for 5 years.all graduates pursuing their Masters or Doctorate take GRE. The criteria for taking up the GRE test is 16 year of formal college education. It is CAT scored out of 800. Accepted score range is from 550 upwards. Scholarships are available depending upon scores & academic profile. The test is taken in English & Maths to test reasoning, logical and analytical ability of the student.


2. TOEFL-Test Of English As A Foreign Language

The duration of this course is 60 hours

TOEFL or Test of English as a Foreign Language is meant to test proficiency of students whose mother tongue /native language is not English. The test is conducted on weekends. TOEFL has to be taken up by every student who is not a US citizen but, wants to study in the US.

3. Eligibility

Minimum Qualification : XII

GRE is a exam conducted to get an entrance in us colleges to do MS...
and TOEFEL is a exam conducted for english....
these two tests are conducted by ETS....
there are three sections for performing the GRE EXAM......
and there is no particular entrance for TOEFEL it is common to all colleges.....

Mostly no one checks for your 10th or intermediate marks but they would make a good keen check on your academics in engineering and your score secured in GRE and TOEFL.

--> As i mentioned above your score in GRE and TOEFL plays an imp role in your admission in foreign university.
--> Each and every university has it's own cutoff for GRE and TOEFL depending upon the cutoff you need to apply for universities.
--> Your scores in graduation must be good if not it would be difficult for you to get through the VISA interview due to low academic record.
--> Coming to the details about abroad study you'll have work part time and continue your studies.
--> Unlike studies in India in abroad you'll have a fair chance of improving your practical knowledge.
--> You need to work really hard to complete your post graduation successfully.
--> Most of them secure campus jobs making it easy for them while no required to go out of the college to work and earn.
--> The money you take from India will be sufficient for you to complete your education but for all your extra entertainment or else pocket money most of them work part time and earn for themselves.

You need not worry about your marks just concentrate on your graduation and write GRE and TOEFL secure good score and apply for Universities depending upon their cutoff's. If the university is willing to give you admission then they'll send you I20. Arrange the documents and prepare for VISA, once VISA issued then you'll be having no problems in going and studying in abroad.

Hello,
GRE or in other words Graduate Record Examination is a standardized test which is taken by students seeking admissions in graduate programs in Universities in US and some other countries also. GRE test has been widely accepted for admissions into various programs at Masters level and now is being accepted by many Business Schools too.

GRE basically tests you on quantitative and verbal reasoning abilities. Other than this it tests your writing abilities as well.

It consists of six sections in total.

The first section is analytical writing section. The next five are two each from verbal and quantitative sections and an experimental/research section which is not scored. These five sections could be in any order at random.

The test spans 3 hrs. 45 mins. It is a Computer based test.

Coming over to scoring, as the pattern of the test was revised in Aug. 2011 quantitative and verbal sections are scored in a range from 130-170 with one point increments.

The analytical writing section is scored on a 6.0 scale.

There is nothing like an eligibility criteria to take up this test. But yes students who have completed there bachelors degree which is recognized and is equivalent to a degree program in US, can seek admission in these Universities.The importance of the test in admission process varies across different Universities, departments of a same University and across different programs or courses. At times GRE scores are just a formality in the admission process and at times an important factor for your admission decision.

But yes if you take this test, the range of Universities you can apply to becomes big enough.

yes of course you are eligible for gre the only requirement is you have completed 16 yrs education ie you have pass out post/under graduation
