Re: Eligibility criteria to pass the NDA written exam?
There's no specific eligibility criteria to pass the NDA examination. You just need to cross the cut off mark fixed by the Board. The cut off mark varies from year to year i.e for example if you have kept your first option as Navy and Navy is recruiting only 200 members for that year then you need to be among the top 2000 members who are sent for the SSB examination. So, extra 1800 members are called for the SSB examination and the best ones are selected for the Indian Navy.In this case 1800 members get screened out and the desired number i.e 200 members are selected. So, based on the selections the cut off mark shifts.
So, the number of posts are fixed earlier itself so the particular Board let it be Indian Navy, Indian Air force or Indian Army selects only members who are in the top to go through the SSB examination.I hope you got to know how the selection is being held in the written examination hence prepare well and try to finish in the top. |

To appear the exam the elligibility criteria are: Candidates who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males. They must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam. Candidates who are going to appear for the class 12 or its equal exam are also suitable to submit an application for this exam. As to get admitted into the Naval Academy and National Defense Academy, the candidates also need to pass in the physical fitness test, as part of the selection process. Re: Eligibility criteria to pass the NDA written exam?
You did not mention your highest level of academic qualification. If you had mentioned that, we would have better suggested you whether you are eligible to apply for NDA Exam or not.
NDA Exam is going to be organized by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) 2 times in a year. This is the common written exam for the candidates to be placed in the following defence services Army wing Navy wing Air Force wing The complete selection procedure would involve NDA Exam Interview Medical Test The minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates to apply for NDA Exam is by completion of 12th class. Candidates who completed 12th class with any of the stream are eligible to apply for Army wing. For those candidates who want to apply for navy and air force wings, they should have completed their 12th class with Mathematics and Physics as the compulsory subjects. You should be in the age group of 16.5 years to 19 years to give this Exam. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to give NDA Exam. If you possess the above mentioned criteria, I suggest you to have good preparation for this Exam and crack it. Wish you all the best. |
