Respected Sir/Madam, I have completed my 12th around 3 years ago. Now, I want to secure admission for BTech course. So, am I eligible to secure admission for BTech course from next year as it will be 4 years gap?

B.Tech refers to Bachelor of Technology and as the name suggests it is an undergraduate level technical degree course of four years after completing which one head towards becoming an engineer.

The minimum education required to pursue the same degree course is a higher secondary school degree in Science stream with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as main subjects from a recognized board of education.

So, having completed your Class 12th even 4 years ago from here you are eligible for pursuing B.Tech degree course if you completed your Class 12th in Science stream with PCM group.

Eligibility to study B.Tech:

Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board.

Candidate age must be 18 to 23 years.

If you satisfied both the eligibility criteria, then you are eligible otherwise not.

The Eligibility criteria to study B.Tech is:

1. Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. English is a compulsory subject.

2. Candidate age must be 18 to 23 years.

So, if you study B.Tech, then you have to fulfill both the criteria.

Yes you are allowed to pursue B.Tech after a gap of 4 years also.
There are no any restrictions in pursuing further education after a long gap also.
You must have completed 12th from a recognized university from Science stream having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subject.
You must have to clear JEE Mains entrance examination to get admission in any of the good colleges.
