eligibilty for writing RRb engineering exam;
Age Limit: Minimum of 18 years and Maximum of 30 years as on 1st July 2010
Academic qualification: matriculation or equivalent or I.T.I. in any of the following specific trades recognised by SCVT/ NCVT:

1. Fitter
2. Electrician
3. Instrument Mechanic
4. Mill Wright/ Maintenance Mechanic
5. Mechanic Radio & T.V.
6. Electronics Mechanic
7. Mechanic Motor Vehicle
8. Wireman
9. Tractor Mechanic
10. Armature & Coil Winder
11. Mechanic Diesel
12. Heat Engine
13. Turner
14. Machinist
15. Refrigeration & A.C. Mechanic

OR Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics /Automobile Engineering recognised by AICTE.

Dear friend,

for RRB exam of engineers, you will have to complete your BE/B.Tech degree.

Then if application form is published for recruitment you have to see for which department student they want to recruiting, Generally exam i9s conducted for Electrical & Mechanical engineering students.

But if you fulfill the criteria then you can sit in RRB exams.

The eligibility for writing RRB exam will be simple 10th(matriculation) pass or equivalent and the age limit should be varies from 18-30.
A diploma engineer/ITI can also apply for the RRB exam.

for this exam the minimum qualification is 12th or equivalent.

the diploma holder students are also eligible for this exams.

but your minimum age should be atleast 18 years and maximum age should not be more than

30 years.

the eamination is fully objective type.and multichoice.

QUALIFICATION REUIREMENT:

Engineering/Technology degree or a Diploma in respective trades (Publish with the advertishment).

AGE REQUIREMENT:

For Section engineer post, the age of the applicant must be with in 20 and 35 years as on 1 July 2010.

For junior engineer post, the age of the applicant must be with in 18 and 33 years as on 1 July 2010.

Relaxation in upper age limit exists for SC/ST/OBC exists as per Government rules.

first you hold a engineering degree from any one of the university ........civil or mechanical degrees are more preferable for job vacancies in RRB...sometimes RRB provide eligibility to m.sc students having bio-tech,electronics that type of occupasion....better you can search the details about vacancies in their own websites or other job portals.....

i think they offer mostly students having engineering degree with mechanical and civil as the major subjects............but they are giving the oppertunities to m.sc and diploma students.......

Indian Railways' recruit through Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).every entrance for various qualification is notified in employment news or rrb website.
