The age limit criteria to get admission in std 4th is not decided by the CBSE. It is the Directorate of State Education who decides the age limit criteria to get admission.

So, you can visit the concerned office or their official website to get detail information about the eligibility for admission.

The exact age for 3rd standard may differ from state to state. According to the Government of India, the recommended age is 7+ years. As per government rules, your child must pass class 1 and class 2 before joining class 3.

>> Your child must meet the age criteria for admission in class 3, following the state education rules.

The age limit for admission to Class 3 in CBSE schools may vary depending on the educational board and the school you are applying to.

However, in general, the minimum age requirement for admission to Class 3 is 7 years.

According to the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) guidelines, a student seeking admission to Class 3 should have completed 7 years of age as of 31st March of the academic year in which admission is sought.

Therefore, if a student's date of birth falls on or before 31st March and they have completed 7 years of age, they will be eligible for admission to Class 3 in CBSE schools.
