About the Course:

This is a modular type course of One year duration. On-job training is conducted at the nearby Thermal Power Stations and the training on high tech simulator at NPTI, Delhi / Nagpur.

The course profile covers the mandatory requirements under Indian Electricity Amendment Rules 1981, which stipulates "No person shall be authorized to operate or undertake maintenance of any part or whole of generating station capacity of 100 MW and above together with the associated substation unless he / she is adequately qualified and has undergone the specialized training at a recognized Institute".

The participants who have successfully completed this course at this Institute are entitled to obtain the Power Generating Station O&M Competency Certificate from State Electrical Licensing Boards.

Eligibility:

B.E. or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized Institution / University with minimum of 60% marks with I Class / I Grade..

Placement:

To provide career opportunities in the Indian Power Sector, NPTI shall maintain close linkages with Power Utilities and reputed companies for employment of these trained Engineers.

Most of the students of previous batches were placed decently in reputed Power sector companies. NPTI will not make any efforts for placement of Sponsored Candidates.

How to Apply:

Applications on plain paper along with the demand draft of Rs.700/- in favour of NPTI payable at Neyveli should reach the following address with two passport size photographs in the prescribed format attached / enclosed.

Fees:

Lodging / Boarding: Facilities available on nominal charges. Separate hostel for girls.

Yes you are eligible for NPTI entrance test. This entrance test held twice in a year december and june.
For december you need to fill the application form in april and for appearing in june you need to fill form in september.

entrance examination for national power training institute(NPTI) is already completed. so you will not get chance for this year. try in next year.

through the wb-jee exam you can get chance in national power training institute (NPTI).
