iitm in kolkata is a good college for marine engg.

dear
for ts chanakya mumbai. there is common entrance exam conducted by IIT jee.
you have to fill up the application form of TS chanakya too seprately . extended merit list candidate in iitjee are selected for TS chanakya.
and same for TOLANI INSTITUTE PUNE.
and for ship builders industry goa. you have too fill up the form seprately . they will conduct the entrance exam .
it needs the medical fitness certificate too.

Candidates need to have high marks in their +2 as to get admission in this subject. Each of these colleges has different admission procedure. The T.S. Chanakya institute Bombay carries out its admission through the IIT JEE ranking. Tolani Institutes entrance exam is called TMISAT. It also considers BITSAT scores. In the Shipbuilding industry Goa candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in the 10th and 12th.

you can get direct entry to merchant navy as a deck cadet with your 12th PCM degree.....

after that you have to undergo basic pre-sea training arranged by the recruiting company itself........

Eligibility Criteria:

For seeking admission in B.Tech Marine engineering is that one should have passed the higher secondary board exam from a recognized board and should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the subjects physics, Chemistry, mathematics and also should have acquired 50% marks in English either in 10th or in the 10+2 exam. The maximum age limit for B.Tech in Marine engineering is 25 years. The student has to give their medical test before the admission so as to check their eye sight. The student with power (+), (-) 2.5 is accepted, but they should not be suffering from color blindness.
