If you have completed B.Tech then going for M.Tech is one of the options. You can specialise in any of the areas like building technology, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering etc. Also there are certificate courses in areas like building design, construction supervisor etc. You can also learn software like MATLAB, SCADD, PRIMA VERA etc. You have the option to make a make a career in areas like road projects, infrastructure works, consultancy firms.

You have a wide career scope after doing the masters degree
Here are some list of streams where you can specialise
Building technology
Geotechnical engineering
Structural engineering
Environmental engineering

You can also get works in various construction works
But it is better to take mtech degree first and then go for job

Civil engg itself is very wide field.So many opportunities are there.Construction,Architecture these are booming today.Design field also very good to choose.
