There is wide scope for Bsc (chemistry) graduates. They can either go for higher studies or apply for jobs. After a bsc in chemistry degre you can enter research, development or production in the chemical industry or undertake postgraduate research or teaching certificates You may pursue a career in areas as diverse as commerce, administration, accounting, banking or the civil service. Re: Which field is suitable for BSc(Chemistry Honors) student after completing BSc?
Helo friends...
after completing your b.sc. hon.you can go for M.SC. in industrial chemistry or simple organic and inorganic chemistry......otherwise... after B. Sc. in Chemistry there is a vast array of careers to choose from, such as Pharmaceutics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Research & Development, Teaching, MBA, IAS etc. Any of the choices listed above will require a post graduate degree in that area like a M Sc for Biotech, an MBA for Management. However, we recommend that you work for a couple of years before jumping into a post graduation. Some work experience will help you know your strengths, areas of interest for a better choice for your post graduate studies and also help you perform better in admission interviews for post graduation in any area. We recommend that you take the time to explore your career goals before you decide on what the next step should be. Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar offers M.Sc (Hons) Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Tezpur University, Assam offers M.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, University of Delhi offers M.Sc in Genetics. All the Best. |

Candidates with just a graduation will have limited career option. It would be ideal if you pursue a Masters in the same field. After masters you can enter in to varied fields like academics, research, pharma etc.

Re: Which field is suitable for BSc(Chemistry Honors) student after completing BSc?
i will suggest you to go for msc in chemistry.Though much opportunity is available in government sector after B.Sc. but if you want to continue the course than you have to choose MBA since MBA is a professional courses and in case you couldn't success in government sector than MBA will help you to make a dynamic carrier in MNC / private sector.
