Yes after completion of M.A you can give UGC NET Examination. But with out Mater's degree you will not have a chance to eligible for UGC NET. And also there percentage criteria required for different candidates.

For General candidates : 55% marks in Master's

SC/ST candidates : 50% marks

Ph.D candidates : 45% of marks for SC/ST and 50% for General .

No, B.A in Political Science candidates are not eligible for UGC NET exam but after completion of M.A in Political Science, you are eligible for UGC NET exam.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted twice time in year by UGC.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for NET exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

Age criteria for NET exam:-

For JRF Post :-Your age should be below 28 years.

For Lectureship Post :-There is no age criteria

UGC NET stands for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. It is conducted twice every year by the UGC in June and December respectively.

In order to appear in this entrance exam for lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship, a candidate must have done master's degree from a UGC recognized university with at least 55% marks in master's degree.

So, you must have at least 55% marks in master's degree in political science to appear for this exam. There is no upper age limit to appear for the exam.

Yes, candidate of bachelor's degree in arts is eligible for the master's degree in Political Science. You must know that for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test, the least academic qualification is master's degree.

So first of all you need to pursue your master's degree and try to secure at least 55% marks in it because it is the minimum percentage a candidate must score to give this exam which is conducted twice every year in June and December by UGC.

Other than academic qualification, a candidate must be less than 28 years to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship. However there is no upper age limit for the Lectureship.
