Duration of the Common Entrance Test is 2 hours.

The Entrance Test question paper shall consist of three parts.

Part-I and Part-II are compulsory and the candidates have to choose any one subsection out of 14 in Part-III depending upon his specialization.

Part – I Mathematics :

This part will have 30 objective type questions and the candidates should answer all the 30 questions.

Part – II Basic Engineering & Sciences :

This part will have 45 objective type questions. The candidates should answer a minimum of 30 questions. All the correct answers upto a maximum of 30 will be awarded 1 mark each and for all the wrong answers 1/4 mark shall be deducted for each.

Part – III Specializations

This part will consist of 14 subsections for various disciplines, like Civil, Mechanical, etc.. Each subsection will have 40/45 objective type questions. The candidates have to choose any one subsection depending on his specialization, and to answer a minimum of 40 questions. All the correct answers up to a maximum of 40 will be awarded 1 mark each and for all the wrong answers 1/4 mark shall be deducted for each

If you complete ME and possibly proceed further to finish PhD, then you may enter teaching line, which should be highly satisfying to you.

Else, if you are keen on Management, I suggest you gather some more practical experience before taking admission to MBA. You should do only full-time MBA. Perhaps, Project Management could be a better field for you.

It depends upon your aptitude, score and performance in ME or MBA to decide about your salary. but, both are sound options.
