Has Education Become Just a Business of Colleges and Coaching Centers?

As there is a boon of gaining education to compete with the world, in India there are some people who have made education as a business by introducing numerous amount of coaching and colleges. Is this the right choice as this will surely reduce quality education ?

yes you can say that it has just become a business of colleges and caching centers because the level of education is deteriorating day by day but the no. of institutes and there fees is rising like a bacteria under the culture under favorable conditions.........
i think the government should take some necessary steps against it.........

yeah i agree with your point that education become business today, but if go in your past not much around 10 years ago.
what are the percentage of literacy in india.?
less than 60% but now it cross over 70 then thanks to businessmen to take such initiative..
i m also agree with your point the quality of education getting worse.. but in my opinion
getting the right quality of education depends on student..... for sincere student commercialization doesn't matter.

Yes,education has become business which media says quite commonly.....
but it is nothing wrong to do business but the problem is with the institutions that do no justice and provide poor facilities.

honestly speaking education has become a business right now, wherever you go for higher study there is a huge amount of fees involved in it. education has become a luxury in our country. it can mostly be availed by the rich section.

Guess what everyone knows it but nobody is trying to do something.
The basic problem is that,
People are removing colleges and coaching institutes just for money( no other perspective ) found in the servey.
Secondly which is more important is that "Every intelligent person wants to have good education but no intelligent
person wants to be a teacher".... this is the plight of indian education system.
No strict laws, no actions, no quality education.
Its we who are suppose to change and be a part of change.

Dear friend

you telling right thing , now days education has become education become business in other word you can you can say that it is a education industry. But friend, we should not see only one side of the coin. There is also other side of this coin,Due to these colleges now number of students are getting technical degree and getting job in various MNCs.You know that there is no many government colleges that can produce as many technical student as demand in present market. So private colleges is the demand of time so do not think too much about it.

Thank you

Hi!
You are right my dear friend now these days education is the only money making machine. The fees structure for each and every courses are increasing day by day rapidly.
therefore the quality and quantity of the education is decreases day by day.
So (Increasing fees structure is inversely proportional to the quality of education)

yes education is nothing but a mere business for some colleges and coaching classes.
though some of the teachers/professors are trying to actually educate the students rather than doing their timely duty, but their effort is not bringing any change.
but we should not loose hope.
there are still some people who believes in education and not in business.

Hello,

our education system has become more a business model.Though it may not be true for all the institutions but majority of the private institutions are
promoting the right type of education and they are focussing more on their pockets rather than the students.

The system of Indian Higher education institutions are not paying much attention to fundamental research.Which is very important for the development of a country.
Most of the Institutions do not have even qualified faculties for higher education. These institutions are just "DEGREE PRODUCING MILLS" as they only produce
graduates rather than producing INTELLECTUALS.

Our system of education is such that we only look at marks secured in the exams but not encoraging students to think independently,to be innovative.
In many institutions like Engineering colleges the fees is sky high but there are no enough qualified faculties, proper labs and the most important thing there are no placements at all which has led many students to a depressed state of Unemployment.
And still every year we hear of new colleges being opened all over our country.
Today starting some educational institutions for a person having enough money has become like a cakewalk.

The need for value-based education is forgotten. The institutions along with the government should come forward to chalk out this problem as soon as possible.

yaaa i m also agree with this. As we know dat now-a-days education becomes a partial part of our life and everyone wants to be educated but the main problem for students is their financial problems. Education has become very costly and expensive now-a-days because of it the people who belongs to the poor class family, not able to educate themselves. Thus, we can say that education is becoming more and more business oriented.
But insipe this, we can't ignore the positive aspects of this facilities.

Well dear, its not only the Indian issue, you can this every where.

Education system is now the part of business. Some such institutions are running who don't care about the student's future, they have only concern with the money the get from the students. Specialy, the system of Higher education is not paying much attention to the study material, their regular practicals, they doesn't teach something innovative, just gives the written/theory knowlegde not at the level of research, which is really bad.

And if we take a look over the fee stucture then its increasing day by day, but the quality of education is still at its previous state.

Well, there's nothing in our hand to change this without a political power but one thing we can really do,that is .. we should choose the institution where's the quality of education matters. Don't see only the reputation of the campus. Be aware. And yes, increase your practical knowledge. This will definitely help you, and don't expect more then enough from teachers add you own efforts also.

Yes, now a days education is in reality become a business of colleges & coaching centers as there are a no: of colleges in each state & city.As the seats are lying vacant there so thay charged a huge amount to fulfill those seats for those candidates who are not eligible for that.

Coaching centers are also charged a huge amount of fees from the students & in return they provide a simple basic study notes to the students. In this way the good & laborious students are suffering & didn,t get the quality education too for there future.

Every men wants to fulfill his pockets in the name of education.Coaching institutes become a five star hotels for the students where they get all the amenities like AC,medicals, canteens etc.

So the Govt should ban to all such institutes & made a regulatory plan so that the jobs will be provided to the deserving candidates only.
