Hai,
Since this is a rare course and no. of colleges offering Clinical Nutrition/Food technology courses are less. So, there is literally high demand for this course. Career options: Nutritionists, Dieticians, Catering departments of bigh companies, Restaurants, Retailers, multi-speciality hospitals and much more. Dieticians are in high demand due to the stressful life style and ongoing Fast food companies multiplying greatly. You can offer consultancy services for food preservation companies, and manufacturers of baby food companies. Some of such famous companies are Hindustan Lever Ltd., Pepsi company, Nestle food products and ready made pickle companies. You can go for specialization in Bio-technology/Bio-informatics Regards |

Dear friend,
as you have done PG course in nutrition, the area of study has enormous scope. There is an increased need for food processing and food preservation in India. There are also institutes offering short-time courses in specialized aspects of food processing and nutrition. You can join in the departments of Food Inspector, managerial head for product manufacturing companies, consultant in major food product companies. All the best! |

But I would suggest you to do BTech in Food Nutrition Technology. This course is unique course and offered by rare universities in India. ICAR conducts AIEEA exam every year for UGs. In exam only PCB related simple questions are asked and after clearing the exam you will be eligble for this course. You have to get under 100 rank to get a good college in India. So in this way , by doing an engineering one can apply anywhere as nutritionist in Nestle/Cadboury etc.. |
