-admission and selection will be made on the results of the written examination and is conducted by the commission followed by intelligence and personality test by the services selection board of candidates .

-you must qualify the written test.

Nda entrance exam is a two level examination which consists of


1. Written test conducted by upsc (union public service commission)

2. The interview conducted by ssb (services selection board) .

NDA stands for National Defense Academy and this examination was conducted by UPSC Twice in a year - NDA (I) and NDA (II).

>> For this year Both the NDA Examination was completed and If you are Interested to apply for NDA Examination then please Apply for Next year NDA Examination.

>> To apply for NDA Examination you need to complete your 12Th examination form a recognised Board and Your age should between 16.5 to 19 years. There is No minimum percentage eligibility criteria to apply for NDA Examination.

Educational qualifications
For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th class pass of 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination conducted by a state education board or a university
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 cadet entry scheme of the Indian Naval Academy: 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics, conducted by a state education board or a university
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class under 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination
Physical standards: Candidate must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2011 as given in appendix-V of commission’s notice for the examination published in employment news/rozgar samachar
How to apply
Candidates may apply online using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in, detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the abovementioned website
Candidates may also apply offline in the common application form devised by the commission for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated head post offices/post offices (specified in appendix-III of the notice) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs 20/- (Rs twenty only). Each such form can be used only once and only for one examination.

For Army wing,you must have completed 10+2.
In order to join Navy and Air Force wings,

your age is 18 years by 2011 and by 2012 you are going to complete 19 years.

The eligibility for the NDA exam

You must be between 16.5 years to 19 years .There is no relaxation for any type of students .
You should have passed class 12th from any streams for ARMY

For AIR FORCE and NAVY you must have passed class 12th with physics and maths as a compulsory subjects.

Exam pattern::Its a written exam and once you clear written exam then you will get call for the SSB and after that your medical will be done.

Written Exam ::The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only.

NDA - National Defense Academy

There are certain eligibility conditions that the candidate must possess to apply for the NDA Exam,and they may include such as:

-> Candidate must have a citizenship in India

-> Candidate appearing must be a unmarried male candidate as it is a important standard.

-> Candidate must have a age limit of 16 1/2-19 years i.e candidate should have born after 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st January 1996.

-> Regarding the education qualification for the NDA exam it is mentioned that the candidate who are wishing to be a part of Indian Army must have completed +2 from a recognized school board.

-> Candidates who want to be a part of Indian Navy and Air Force must have completed +2 from a recognized board with physics and mathematics as subjects.

-> Candidate must be physically fit while appearing for the NDA Exam as regarding the physical standard.

NDA is a good way to get entry in Indian army directly as a post of lieutenant. By NDA exam you can in army,navy or airforce.
NDA exam has two stages : written test and interview.
When you selected in written test you will be called for interview in Delhi. It is 5 day procedure . after this you can be select for NDA.

Criteria for NDA
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible
Candidate should be in the age group of 16.5 years to 19 years.
Intermediate with PCM and 60 % marks

Physical criteria for NDA
No knocking knee
No wax in ear
No flat foot
No locking tongue

Syllabus for NDA
Paper I :
This section contains Mathematics.
This section carry 300 marks.
It is for 2. 5 hrs.

Paper II :
It is divided into two parts.
The first part is of English subject carrying 200 marks
Second part is General Ability carrying 400 marks.
The duration of this paper will be 2.5 hrs
