Re: How to become an IAS or IPS after passing class 12th PCM
Graduates in any subject can try for IAS. You can select B.Sc/B.Tech according to your wish. This will be quite useful while selecting optional subject for mains. Here you can select a subject based on graduation level studies. Engineering degree is suitable to find another job, if you fail with IAS in any case.

Re: How to become an IAS or IPS after passing class 12th PCM
Since you have completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Maths, the good options are Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Science course. If you want to appear for Civil Services Examination then it does not matter whether you have completed B.Sc or B.Tech.
Because for Civil Services Examination, both the degrees are accepted. None of the two will hold any advantage over the other when applying for the Civil Services Examination. But this does not mean that you should pick any of the two courses without any thought. You should keep the second option open, in case you fail to make cut for the Civil Services Examination. Now in my opinion, Bachelor of Technology is better course and certainly you should go for it. This course has better job opportunities in comparison to the Bachelor of Science course. After completing the graduation, you should have no problem applying for the Civil Services Examination. Eligibility 1. Nationality: It has to be Indian to apply for IAS, IPS. 2. Education: Need to have completed graduation. 3. Marks: No criteria. 4. The age limit is 21 years on the lower side. 5. Candidates above 30 years are not eligible. 6. Although OBC is eligible is apply upto 33 years. 7. While SC/ST can apply up to 35 years. 8. General candidate has maximum of 4 attempts to clear exam. 9. OBC can appear for Civil Services Exam 7 times. 10. There is no limit for SC/ST. Selection Procedure 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview |

Re: How to become an IAS or IPS after passing class 12th PCM
IAS is one of the prestigious exam in India. you have to work hard to clear this examination.
There are three steps actually 1. prelims 2. mains 3. Interview 1. prelims in prelims you have to give two papers first is CSAT which require aptitude and reasoning so try to focus on these areas, to improve them you can take help of R. S. Agarwala second is GS which require knowledge of polity, geography, history along with current affair. so do read these things along with news paper. 2. Mains Total 7 papers+ 2 papers(qualifying) There are four papers of general science so you have to read about current affairs and all that There are two papers for optional subject. you have to choose one optional and studied it thoroughly. you must have the ability to write essay so prepare for it. Along with this you have to give two papers english + hindi they are of qualifying nature having minimum cut offs and their marks are not going to count in final score. 3. Interview if you clear both above steps, you have to give interview. for interview you have to prepare the fields which you have choosen in mains and all that. Best of luck... |
