If your aspiring to become an journalist , then after 12th standard you may apply for following courses like ,

Specialization in Journalism :-

• B.sc in Sports Journalism
• B.A in Professional Journalism
• B.A in Investigative Journalism
• B.sc in Trade Journalism
• B.A in Innovation Journalism
• B.sc in Fashion Journalism

B.A in Journalism is an bachelor degree . The course duration is for three years and the course is divided into eight semester .

If your interested to apply for this course then you should complete 12th standard in any stream from recognized university . You should score minimum 55% percentage of marks in 12th board examination . The Institution may also conduct separate entrance examination . If your qualified in entrance examination then you may call for an Interview .

The admission for Journalism course is based on the percentage of marks in entrance examination . So If your score good percentage of marks in entrance examination then you may get admission for Journalism course in reputed colleges .

One can join journalism colleges as full time or while doing graduation can do distance journalism. It is not necessary to be graduate but it can help . We must see, hear around us and write letters to editors in various newspapers as starter. This will let us know the problems and good things happenings in the society. Afterall Journalist is striving for the good of society he has a great responsibility which needs to be cater.

My daughter has passed 12th in 2011-2012 with 61.5 percent marks and interested in journalism and mass communication or Architecture. She has given the NATA and CAT, Maharashtrra but could not attended the Cap round due to personal reason. For Journalism she has not given any entrance test.
