Re: How to become a Lawyer if I am 20 years old
It is nice to see that you want to pursue LLB course. We need good lawyers and Judges in India to revamp out justice system. As you mentioned that your age is more than 20 years. I don't think this will be any major issue for you to apply for LLB course.
I think you are getting confused by BA LLB degree for age. The age limit for BA LLB should not be more than 20 years old. However since you are pursuing graduation in Arts, you can apply for LLB once you have completed graduation course. The age limit for LLB is 30 years which would make you eligible for the course. Therefore you can see that age limit is not an issue for you. Now you must be wondering difference between BA LLB and LLB course. Well there is no difference. Both holds the same value when applying for the job. Holding BA LLB or LLB would not give any advantage over the other degree. The only difference here is that BA LLB is 5 years long course while LLB is 3 years long. It is because BA LLB also include course of a graduation degree. This is why this course can be taken after completing 12th standard. While to pursue LLB you need to first complete a graduation course. By pursuing BA LLB you can save one year. LLB Eligibility 1. A graduation degree from a recognized university. 2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation course. 3. SC/ST candidates need 40 percent marks. 4. Age limit for LLB is 30 years. 5. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. |
