i wanted to become a scientist but i gets average marks in science,can i become a scientist

To become a scientist is not a matter of marks It is matter of your thinking and intelligence power.
If you are a b.tech or bsc you can apply for M.tech through Gate or iit jam then apply for phd so i suggest you for prepare yourself to entrance exam.
After m.tech you can apply for research like drdo, isro etc
