CID stands for Criminal Investigation Department . To join CID you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year. The minimum required educational qualification for constable in the CID department,you must pass 12th examination. Your age should be between 21 to 27 years (relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for O.B.C in upper age limit). Graduation degree course in any stream from a recognized Institute/University candidate can apply for CID Officer ranks . Your age should be between 21 to 30 years old (relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for O.B.C in upper age limit). You have completed graduation degree so you are applicable for CID Constable and Officer both exam . The examination procedure is conducted in three tiers or stages. They are as follows:- 1. Written Examination 2. Main Written Examination 3. Personality Test/Interview Pattern for CID Exam by SSC:- Part I - Written Examination carrying (400 marks ) General Test General Intelligence and Reasoning General Awareness Numerical Ability Part II - Personality Test (100 marks) English Language Language Comprehension Communication / Writing Ability Test In CID requirement you must fulfill the below given physical criteria - Height=> For men -165cms. For women -150cms Height relaxable for Hills men and Tribals: 5cms Chest=> 76cms. with expansion 5 cm Eye-Sight (with or without glasses)=> Distant Vision :6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye. Hai,
CID stands for Criminal Investigation Department. To be eligible for this exam you need to complete your graduation, already you are a graduate so you are eligible for CID. For this you have to appear CGPE(Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination) exam which is conducted by the SSC(Staff Selection Commission). Eligibility details:- Applicant should be complete graduation in any discipline from a recognised university of India. Final year appearing candidates can also be eligible for this examination. You don't need any particular percentage restrictions in your graduation. Applicant should be a citizen of India. The age limits of a candidates are 21 years to 27years. The relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and the relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Selection process:- Written exam, Main written examination, Personality test/ Interview. Physical standards:- Height: For Male-165 cms, For female- 150 cms, Chest: 76 cms with expansion of 5 cms.
