How can I become a LIC agent?


how will i become a lic agent....Please tell me the details for the same

Here is the process that will guide you to become LIC agent:

Eligibility Criteria: Eligibility criteria to become LIC Agent are that the applicant should be minimum 12th standard pass from any of the recognized board of India. His/her age should be of minimum 18 years.
Procedure:

1. Contact your nearest Branch Office of LIC and meet the Development Officer there or you can directly meet the Development Officer of LIC if you know any.

2. If you will be found eligible to become an agent only then you can apply for the Application form of Pre-Licensing Examination conducted by Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).

3. After applying for Pre-Licensing Exam, you will be sent for training at nearest Division office of LIC or Agency Training Centre set up by LIC for the conduction of training of Agents. This classroom training is of 100 hrs and covers every trait of Life Insurance Business.

4. After successful completion of training you will have to sit for Pre-Licensing exam.

5. After passing the examination you will issued with a License by the IRDA to work as an insurance agent.

6. You will be appointed as an agent by the Branch Office and you will work as a part of the team under your D.O.

7. The D.O. will instruct you about your work field and other important inputs which will help you to make to your market place.
