As you didn't mentioned which university you are studying it is difficult to say the exact answer to you because each and every university follow its own rules and regulations tough to say but I know one university in andhra pradesh which allows this kinda act .i.e., Osmania university but getting this is not a simple thing you have top your branch above distinction then only you will have to appeal to the incharge of college about your branch transfer. This branch transfer is also prior to the available of vacant seats in the requested branch. So it is tough than what you are imagining anyways try your best . Next time while giving your question try to give full details about that for example university which state are you from and all the required details to answer you clearly This will provide better service from our side . Take care of this Regards ~AdityA~ |

Branch change after 2nd year of B.Tech Branch change in any college is possible after 1st year of B.Tech. If you completed 2nd year of B.Tech with CSE and now if you want to change the branch then it is not possible because there are no change in the branch after 2nd year. Now i advise you to do engineering in the Computer science branch and do hard work. Computer Science branch is also a good branch. Don;t confuse do study with confidence after completing B.Tech with CSE branch you will get a good job in a big company. If you want to any other information about branch change after 2nd year then please contact the Dean of the department of your college. Regards ~Mukul~ |

Hi friend,
I don't think it is possible change your group in 2nd year. But in some colleges they allow it because they use 1st year as just a bridge course. If your college is of that type then you will be allowed. |

All bit institution doesn't support this kind of rules.. But in some it can be made possible only if seat is available along with a very good result in institution followed by permission letter and request at respective authority. and more over you have given detail about particular university, so that we can conform about it. It's more easy and possible in the starting of first years and to some extent in first year ending too as most of syllabus covered in all section will be maximum same ... |

You can change your stream only in 2nd year that means in 3rd semester. But for that you should have good marks in 1st year.Atleast 85% marks require to change a stream.
In west bengal if you get 8.5 points aggregate in 1st year then you can change your stream from one stream to another. But be careful you can only change your stream in 2nd year only. After that you can't change your stream. |
