Re: How can I join LLB course after completion of 10+2?
While you can not apply for the LLB it is possible to apply for the integrated LLB course. You may be wondering what is the difference between two courses.
Earlier there was only one graduation degree in law called LLB. A 3 years course that could only be taken after completing graduation. However it was often complained that to become lawyer one has to do double graduation. Therefore an integrated LLB course was introduced by the Bar Council of India. The integrated LLB degree has bachelor course like BA, B.Com etc and the LLB. Therefore the courses offered are BA LLB, BBA LLB etc. The duration of this course is 5 years and anyone who have completed 12th can apply for it. You can also apply for the integrated LLB course by appearing for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). The National Law Universities offer admission through Common Law Admission Test. Below is the eligibility criteria to appear for it. Eligibility 1. The candidate should have passed 12th standard. 2. Any stream is acceptable but must have at least 45 percent marks. 3. The SC/ST student should have 40 percent marks. 4. Only candidates up to age of 20 years can apply. 5. There is 2 years relaxation for SC/ST. 6. You must have completed 12th standard at the time of applying. |
