Sir I have completed my 10th class with 71% and i am 17 year 5months 4day old . so can i join merchaint navy ??

Not right now but you can apply for Merchant Navy after completing 12th. However make sure that you pass Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as the subjects. Only science stream students can apply for merchant navy, commerce and arts stream candidates are not eligible.


Therefore I will recommend you to continue with your studies and complete 12th standard. After completing 12th you will have few options.


You can either take direct entry in merchant navy as deck cadet or if you want officer level jobs that pays well then it is essential to pursue degree in nautical science or Marine Engineering.


If possible I would recommend that after completing 12th you should go for marine engineering. The officer level jobs are the ones that made Merchant Navy so popular. Such jobs are well paid and come with wide range of perks. The choice is yours.



Eligibility

1. For officer level jobs you must pursue either marine engineering or B.Sc in Nautical Science


2. To do so, you must complete 12th from a recognized board with PCM as subjects.


3. Only unmarried candidates can apply.


4. It would be necessary to clear a medical test.


5. You will have to meet certain physical requirements which includes 6/6 vision with no color blindness.



Direct Entry

1. After completing 12th, you may apply for deck cadet job in merchant navy. If selected then you will go through 3 months long pre-sea training course which will be arranged by the recruiting company.


2. Candidates with B.Tech degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology can also apply for direct entry into merchant navy. There are wide range of officer level jobs for such candidates.


3. Th B.Tech candidates will also have to go through 9 months long Pre-sea course in Marine Engineering from MERI

Merchant navy is a private job whee you have to import and export goods from other countries/to other countries..

Eligibility Criteria:-

The minimum eligibility criteria for this job is 12th standard..

How can I join Merchant Navy after completing 10th with 71%

On the basis of 10th you can not join Merchant Navy . You have to complete atleast 10+2 to be eligible for merchant navy.

You have to complete 10+2 with physics and maths then only you will be eligible for Merchant navy.

On the basis of 10+2 you can join merchant navy as deck cadet .

If you want to join higher posts then you have to complete you graduation in nautical science then you can apply for higher posts in merchant navy.

You can also do graduation in marine engineering to become eligible for higher posts in merchant navy.

sir, I am presently working in indian coast guard and having 21 years works experience in electrical side. I have join the coast guard after completion 10th pass in year 1992. whether I got job in merchant navy.

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for Merchant Navy.

If you want to join Merchant have you have to Pass 12th with physics and maths..

After passing 12th you have the to do marine engineering.

For admission in top marine engineering colege tou have to qualify the exam like:-
> I.I.T-J.E.E
> A.I.E.E.E
etc

YES..You can Join Merchant Navy after 10th...You will be requiring 36 months of sea time for becoming eligible for Officer examination.

Career Plan :
After 10th - Pre sea Training - 36 mts of on board sea time Training - 3rd officer examination & become officer in Merchant Navy & keep getting promotions after regular sea time & up gradation Exams.

Yes You can join Merchant Navy after Completion of Your Diploma.You should be Physically Fit & ready to stay out of home for long duration.

STEP 1 : Pre Sea Training
Step 2 : Complete your Sea Time

Yes you can join Merchant Navy after completing your 10th Class.We have trained & Placed a large number of students on board & they are working on board for completing their required sea time making them eligible for officer examination & a large have also complete their sea time & are sailing as officers on reputed Shipping company's.

After your 10th you are eligible for a G.P.Rating course which will be requiring 36 months of sea time to appear for your officer examination.

And Join after 12th , you will be eligible for Deck Cadet course which will be requiring 18 / 24 months of sea time to appear for your officer examination.

The Difference between joining after 10th or 12th is after 10th you need to have 36 months sea time & after 12 you need to have 18 / 24 months of sea time depending from which country you are interested in giving for your COC (Officer) examination. Internationally a lot of countries are having courses of Merchant Navy after 10th including INDIA..

So you can join Merchant Navy on your basis of your 10th.

I am sorry to say that after passing 10th you are not eligible for Merchant navy.

If you want you can join after passing 12th with Physic and Maths.

After passing 12th you have to pass marine engineering.

Hi dear...

Well, You will be eligible for NDA after your +2.

There are three wings in NDA

> Army
> Navy
> Air Force

Now, if you want to go in Navy or Air Force, then you must have Physics and Mathematics in your +2 passed from any recognized board/University.

So, take up Science Stream preferably Non-Medical in +1 and +2.

Then You will be eligible for all three wings.

The eligibility criteria is as follows:-

> Only Unmarried, male candidates are allowed.

> Aspirant must have 16.5 years to 19 years of age.

Moreover, you may apply for NDA even after Graduation, preferably Engineering, then you will get a good post.

U can join merchant navey after 10th also with 60% marks and for it u have to give a test to take admission if u passed in that u go for tranning n traning fee/admission fee u have to pay

If you are interested to Join in Merchant Navy, you can must crack the NDA examination

For NDA Examination the minimum educational qualification is 12th standard,

The 2nd National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) entrance examination will be conducted on 11th August, 2013.

The exam, which is carried out by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), will be held for admission to 130 Army, Navy and Air Force Course and 92 Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) for 2013 session.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should:
>> Have a XII Class / Equivalent passed certificate conducted by State Board / Universities. Those appearing for the exam can also apply provided they furnish the proof of passing the Class XII exam at a later date as specified by the UPSC.

>> Have Physics & Maths in 10+2 if he has applied for Navy & Air Force.

>> Be an unmarried male.

>> Be between 16 1/2 to 19 years of age.

>> Be physically fit.

N.D.A --- NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY


And for that you must have studied the "" 12TH "" class from a recognized university


And the minimum age must be 16.5 years


Maximum age is allowed up to 19 years


Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for it


And so first of all YOU TRY TO COMPLETE THE 12TH CLASS


There by you can apply for the NDA exam

brother you cannot join merchant navy with just completing your 10th. you will have to first complete your 12th class with subjects - physics chemistry and maths. minimum age for applying for merchant navy is 16.5 years n maximum age is 19 years. you should also be unmarried to apply for merchant navy.
