NIT(NAtional Institute of Technology) doestn't offer direct admission to candidates. All the candidates has to qualify in the AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) conducted by the CBSE.

Eligibility for taking AIEEE(All India Engineering Entrance Examination) requires minimum of 50% for in 10+2 for general candidate and 40% for reserve categories.

After scoring well in AIEEE, you can apply in NIT. To get admission into NITs, Candidate should have passed a schooling of twelve years under 10+2 system in PCM or have an equivalent qualification (diploma). (S)he should be a bonafied resident of the state or nominated student of other states.

All under graduate programs are (Except Architecture) four year degree programme in various disciplines is divided into eight semesters. Architecture is the five year degree course is divided into ten semesters.

NIT- National Institute of Technology.

These are the top colleges in technical institutions in our country and come next to the IIT's in rankings.

Now as you may know that the NIT's select candidates purely on the basis of the GATE score, so you must know that THERE IS NO DIRECT ADMISSION IN ANY OF THE NIT'S !

You have to sit for the AIEEE- All India Engineering Entrance Exam. Only on getting good ranks within the top 5000-7000 would you get any seat in any of the NIT's.

Otherwise you will not. You may try for other private colleges like SRM, Amity, LPU, VIT, Manipal, etc..

The only way to take admission in NIT Raipur is by giving a Aieee exam conducted by CBSE and by getting good rank in AIEEE because cut off of NITs is more so, you have to practice more.

So, there is o direct way off getting admission in NIT Raipur.
Eligibiliity of Aieee:

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AIEEE 2011 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination (see Appendix IX) with 50% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEEprovisionally. Candidates appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) in 2012 or passed in 2008 or before are not eligible to appear in AIEEE.

The National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur) is a technical institution funded by the Government of India, located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh and was Founded in 1956 as Govt. College of Mining & Metallurgy with two engineering disciplines, mining and metallurgy, the institute is one of the oldest of its kind in India


i) The undergraduate admissions are based on the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) organized by CBSE, India.

ii)The postgraduate admissions are based on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

iii)The postgraduate admissions for Master in Computer Application are done on the basis of NIMCET.

27% of total seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBCs), 15% for Scheduled Castes (SCs), and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (STs)


There is No way of Direct Admission To This College.

You need to give exams as per the course you want to join and that to is allotted on the basis of All India Level Counselling which is held every year after results are declared.

I messed up my registration of this year 2018 so what I will do to take admission in architecture ?I want to take admission only in NIT Raipur.Ihave scored 188 outoff 390 in JEE MAINS paper 2 and my category(ST) rank is 589 and overall rank is 25000.So What I will do to take admission in NIT raipur only and I want only B arch ?And my percentage in class 12th is 63.8.Sir,please help me for taking admission in this year only.
