my AIR in general category is 47829 & state ranking in general category is 519.my rank in cgpet is 509.can i get admission in cs branch in raipur nit chattisgarh?i live in bhilai chattisgarh.which other branches can i get in raipur nit or any other nit?

Congrats for good rank, sure you can get good branch in state quota as ther are 219 seats each in all India and state quota. Some of the toppers will opt for other IIT's and institutes so you have a fair chance of getting seat in state quota through AIEEE.

@ state rank 519 you will get ood branch in NIT Raipur like CS.

Congrats you have a modestly good rank in AIEEE

your state rank is good, and considering that you you are

trying to get a state quota seat in NIT raipur you have a good chance of getting

a seat as many of the higher ranks will go for other colleges NITs/IITs/IIiTs

etc, some will opt for provate colleges

you have a good chance the only important thing is that you get good help in counseling

as it will make a big difference i finally getting a seat.

After scoring the 47829 I don't think that you will be getting any branch in any of the NIT colleges through the central counseling .

And even you won't be able to get the NIT Raipur in the CS branch through the state rank of the 519 .

But instead you can get the other private or the centrally funded universities taking part in the central counseling board of the AIEEE.

And I would suggest you to go for the counseling conducted by the different states like that of the Orissa , West Bengal and the Maharashtra whenever they conduct the counseling to take the admssion on the basis of the AIEEE rank

Sorry you can not C.S. branch in NIT RAIPUR but you can get other branch in NIT RAIPUR as civil,biotechnology,metallurgy etc.
You can also try in NIT AGARTALA,SRINAGAR,MIZORAM,NAGALAND with biotechnology branch.

You may get NIT Raipur CS branch according to your rank...
the other branches which you can get are

i had done b.tech in cs.but i have taken admission in nit allahabad in gis.m also shortlisted for nit raipur n patna in cs branch....what i should choose.plz rply if any one can

Surely you will nit rourkela & branch CS. It is your luck that you are from Orissa. If you were from Bihar then sure you can't get NIT Patna.

Your rank is good because your home state is chhattisgarh. You will surely get NIT raipur & CS in last some rounds.

Basically it all depends on which state you belong and which category.

Assuming you to be from home state:

If you are from general category you have a very small chance of getting into NIT raipur with computer science as it closes at around 36,000 all india rank and home state quota.
But if you are from OBC,SC,ST then you can easily take it to NIT raipur.
