A science student can apply for CA .

Yes you can give CA exam.
In order to get admission in CA,one need to give CPT exam.The eligibility for CPT is 10+2.

*u can give CA exam ,despite of being science student...

*science student wit 60% marks in maths can appear for CA foundation exams..

*students without maths only find difficult to join ca...

There are three level of this exam.

Level I-Common Proficiency Test(CPT)
Level II-Integrated Professional Competence Course(IPCC)
Level III-CA Final Examination

You can apply for 1st level after 12th and after passing that you can apply for
subsequent level.

Graduates can directly apply for 2nd level but the eligibility criteria is as under;

50% marks for Commerce graduates.
55% marks for non-commerce graduates with subjects other than Mathematics.
60% marks for non-commerce graduates with Maths.

How should a 12th passed science student prepare for cpt exam if then after 12th science he chooses CA as his aspiring career? Will he need additional coaching if he is never introduced to commerce subjects such as accounting etc.? Please help.

yes you can apply for ca

if you have passed class 12th then get registered for cpt it is held twice a year in months of june and december

to clear cpt you have to get minimum 30% in each subject and over all 50%

subjects of cpt are :

1.accounts
2.law
3.quantative aptitude
4.economics


and if you ave passed graduation with science stream then you must possess minimum 60% in your graduation to get direct entry to ipcc of ca

ipcc exams are conducted twice in a year in months of may and november consists of 7 papers in two groups
