Film and Television Institute of India, Pune is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India. It conducts an Entrance Exam towards admission to its various courses in Film and Television.

The eligibility criteria for admission to Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Acting and Feature Film Screenplay Writing is that the candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University.

The applications are usually called in the month of March and the last date for receipt of application usually falls somewhere in the first week of April.

Candidates can request for and submit the completed admission forms at the following address: The Registrar, Film and Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune-411004

here is the tips for you to crack ftii exam
watch more and more films. Analyze lighting , sound design, composition,characterization and editing points/continuity.
Know basics of photography and start analyzing mood ,lighting, time , space,figures, line of actions, activity,shadow,highlight and mid tone regions of photographs after converting it in to gray scale.
Remember recent movie post credit mostly sound designer,cinematographer,director,writer etc etc.
General knowledge regarding film related recent issues.
Watch TV programmes, TV Interviews, Reality shows and advertisements.

Basic film production terminologies.

Well, your suggestions with regard to learning of basics of Photograpy, Film production terminologies & to read short stories of O Henry is worth a million dollar. As there has not been any structured reading material for preparing for FTII exam, hence all such communication will help immensely to combat the question papers.

also you can join any reputed coaching institutes for this exam.
