MBA is one of the best things to chose at the moment. Its a great path to new career opportunities and is definitely the hot cake of the moment. It would not be wrong to state that top notch banks, companies and firms are continuously looking for MBAs in respective domains to recruit in their teams for functional, operational and other needs.

If you wish to do MBA in Distance Education, that may / may not be very fruitful. However, depending on the kind of knowledge that you have you may end up getting very well placed in any of the top companies. The positive thing to note here is that every company would obviously interview the person before taking him/her, and that opportunity can be very well grabbed to create best impression.

Here are a few steps to follow if you are planning to do Distance MBA:

1. MBA - Masters in Business Administration is a full time / part time 2 years program and should only be done from recognized universities.

2. It has majorly the following streams: Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Information Systems etc. Some colleges may have even more.

3. The candidate must be a minimum graduate in ANY stream from any of the recognized college or university. Some colleges may ask for 60% or more marks as well.

4. The following are known as the top Distance Education Colleges in India: IMT CDL (Ghaziabad), IGNOU, Narsee Monjee Distance Learning, SCDL - Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning, Sikkim Manipal University.

5. The criteria may vary from college to college however, Symbiosis, Ignou and IMT have personalized entrances as well. But some category of people like who have score more than 60% in 10th, 12th and graduation OR for people who have more than 2 years of experience are exempted from such entrances. It is better to contact the college administrative offices to get more details about the courses.

Also note that majority of the part time MBAs are direct admission courses and may not require much paper work. But you have to be at least eligible for the courses.

Again, doing Distance Education is good provided the concepts are well understood and some value can be created out of it.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
