Re: How to do Ph.D in Geoinformatics? I am applying for MSc programme
You need to complete the masters degree in the same field to pursue the Ph.D. The Ph.D program in Geo informatics focuses on studies which include aspects of Geo informatics including applications and development of models, algorithms. Any Ph.D programme consists of thesis writing, research and presentation. As far as eligibility is concerned, you need to have Masters Degree in the relevant field. There will be presentation of Thesis Topic and interview conducted by specific institutes after the entrance exam results. In some cases, you need to be NET cleared also. Here are the list of institutes where you can take Ph.D course in same stream:
Indian Institute of Remote Sensing and Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun http://www.iirs.gov.in/ Indian Institute of Technology (lIT), Kharagpur, Roorkee, Kanpur http://www.iitkgp.ac.in/http://www.iitr.ac.in/http://www.iitk.ac.in/ Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, Extension centres – Kolkata, Jaipur http://www.bitmesra.ac.in/ National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA), Hyderabad http://www.nrsc.gov.in/# Space Application Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad and New Delhi http://www.sac.gov.in ISRO, Bangalore http://www.isro.org Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU), Hyderabad http://www.jntu.ac.in Survey Training Institute, Hyderabad http://www.surveyofindia. gov.in/Training.html Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics http:// sigpune.com/index.html |
