Appearing for the CAT exam is a must. You will need to appear for the same in November. This being a competitive exam you must certainly be well prepared. You must get above 97 percentile for the same. Also be well prepared for the GD and PI round.

I have heard that selection procedure is based on the credits to enter in to any IIM what does it exactly mean.

Tat is some useful guidelines.
I did my Engineering from vtu university but I got a year back as i met with an accident will it affect on my eligibility criteria to get into any of the IIM's

Hi,

as you know there is cut throat competition for admission into IIMs, so to filter out and to select most relevant candidate , they give credits to short listed candidates in entrance test, and thus according to these credits,they call for second round.

credits are given to candidate for followings:
1)10th percentage
2)12th percentage
3)graduation percentage
4)post graduation , if any
5)work experience.

by summation of all credits, your credit should be above the cut off to get call from IIMs. cut off is decided by IIMs.

is it possible to do MBA after diploma 2 year experience?

For admission in I.I.M , Bangalore you have to qualify the C.A.T exam.
C.A.T is Common Admission Test.

C.A.T exam is conducted by Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad.

Eligibility for C.A.T:-
> Pass graduation with any stream with minimum 50% marks.
For ST/SC candidate minimum 45% marks is require.
> There is no age limit for C.A.T exam.

How To Get Admission To IIM Bangalore

In order to get admission to the IIMs.. a candidate must clear the CAT (Common Admission Test) which is conducted every year for admissions to MBA programs in India's most prominent B-schools..

A candidate is eligible to appear for the CAT only if :-

>> The candidate has secured an aggregate of 50% or above in graduation from a recognized institute..

You need to secure at least 98 percentile or above to get a call from IIM Bangalore..

After getting a call..you also need to convert this call to an admission..

To get into IIM Bangalore , firstly you need to have a Graduation degree with having at least 50% in any discipline from recognized college . after satisfying the educational Qualification you need to sit for an MBA entrance exam which is known as : COMMON ADMISSION TEST or CAT exam which is conducted by IIM institution only , every year in the month of Oct -Nov. , and registration date begin from July- Sept.

This is not only , you need to bring above 95 percentile in your CAT exam , and then you would be called for Group Discussion Round and Personal Round as well . You need to clear all the stages and then only you will be able to get admission into IIM , BANGALORE .

To get into IIM Bangalore or any other IIMs for that matter you need to sit for the CAT exam. Full form of CAT exam is Common Admission Test. It is an MBA Entrance Exam which is conducted by the IIMs in turns and with the CAT scores you can not only seek admission in just the IIMs but also in other top B-Schools in India.

It is a tough exam to crack no doubt but cracking this also means getting a chance of studying in top institutes. The institute needs to be selected very cautiously when doing MBA. Apart from the IIMs it is also accepted by several other reputed private autonomous institutions.

well now the rules are changed for the IIM's your scores of 12th, Graduation and 10th are also added with the percentile score of your CAT exam.
CAT exam is held in every year in Nov. You have to apply for the exam which cost around 1000 Rs/- only.
