Re: How to take MBBS after completion of BSc Nursing?
I fail to understand why you are now willing to become doctor. If you wanted to become doctor then you should have opted for the MBBS in the first place. Since you have pursued nursing course, it is not recommended to now apply for the MBBS.
By doing so, you will have your B.Sc Nursing degree irrelevant. After all you can either become nurse or doctor. It is simply not possible to carry on with both. Therefore the question is that what is the point of wasting the hard work of 4 years. In my opinion there is not point of doing so. You have spent 4 years completing the B.Sc Nursing course. Now it will take another 5 and half years to complete MBBS. It would be better if you instead pursue M.Sc Nursing. You will not find MBBS course any easy having completed B.Sc Nursing course. Besides you will have to follow the same procedure as other candidates do to get admission for the MBBS course. Which means that you will have to apply for the NEET entrance exam. Based on your performance in NEET you will either get admission or not. Your B.Sc Nursing degree will offer no benefit in admission. Similarly there is a common myth that those who have completed B.Sc Nursing can take admission for MBBS through lateral entry. Which means direct admission into the second year of the course. This is also incorrect. There is no such thing as lateral entry in MBBS as there is in Bachelor of Technology. You will have to go through the complete course. The lateral entry MBBS degree is not offered in India. Even if you manages to complete one, the Medical Council of India will not recognize it. MCI has made it very clear. Therefore you should either apply for a job or take the M.Sc Nursing course. There are jobs for nurses in government as well private hospitals. You can also apply for army or even some Public Sector Undertakings also hire Nurses. |

Quote:
you are doing presently bsc nursing , yes you can mbbs by leaving your bsc nursing and you can do mbbs only if you qualify and get the merit rank only by the entrance tests conducted by the government's.in my opinion its a waste of time to do mbbs because already you are doing your bsc nursing.....so, after completion of your bsc nursing you can do your msc nursing and you will have a bright future..... alll the best.... |

Re: How to take MBBS after completion of BSc Nursing?
B.sc Nursing course is a course in nursing profession and one should do this course only if you are highly willing to be in this profession.
Yes you can switch to other course and college if you do not want to complete your Course. I would suggest you to ist complete your Course in nursing as your are in final year otherwise it would be a waste of three years. Till you complete your Bsc. Nursing course apply for the All India level or state level Entrance tests conducted for admission in MBBS course. Though MBBS course also a 51/2 duration course that will also require full dedication for completion and then further pursue your career in the same. So apply for the entrance tests/pre medical examinations if you qualify then you can take admission in MBBS course. |

Re: How to take MBBS after completion of BSc Nursing?
There is no way to take admission in MBBS after B.Sc in Nursing.
If you want to take admission in MBBS,then you can take on the basis of your 10+2 score. After B.Sc Nursing, you can go for the courses M.Sc and then MPhil,Phd etc. If you want to do job then you can work as: *Deputy Nursing Superintendent *Ward Sister *Director Of Nursing * Nursing Superintendent *Military Nurse *Industrial Nurse *Teacher Of Nursing etc. You can go even abroad also where you have paid much higher than in India as Indian Nurse has great demand in countries like USA,UK,Canada,Singapore. |

Re: How to take MBBS after completion of BSc Nursing?
Why Indian nurses have great demand on abroad country? Is they are more capable than their own country's nurses? Then why in India also have the affinity to take nurses more capable, elligible, payable, who all are having experience on abroad....????

Re: How to take MBBS after completion of BSc Nursing?
You can join MBBS Course after B.Sc Nursing. You have to crack NEET Entrance exam to take admission in this course.
NEET stands for National entrance cum eligibility test. MBBS is a grueling course, incredibly long , but once you get in, you will come out as a doctor for sure. Medical colleges are churning out doctors every year, it depends on you if you'll be a good doctor, or an average one. This year NEET exam is over so now start preparation from next year exam to crack this exam. |

Re: How to take MBBS after completion of BSc Nursing?
It has nothing to do with your Bsc. Since you are presuming to take entry in MBBS after Bsc your age can be a issue at that point of time.so if you haven't crossed the age limit than you can do MBBS by writing entrance exam.if you have crossed the age limit, than you can pursuing your masters is the safest option or you can prepare for MBA or civils.
