The recruitment of Sub-Inspector in state police is done through entrance exam, conducted separately by each state and therefore, the availability of the application forms depends upon the state. Well as you have not specifically told about any particular state Sub inspector exam so i giving you information about the exam which is conducted by the SSC.

The notification for the SI post has been declared .

Eligibility for the SI::

You must have passed bachelor degree in any streams.

You should be between 18 - 25 years of age .

Recruitment process::The recruitment process to get selected in SSC SI exam is very hard .The candidates have to go through the three stages which are ::

1.PET:Physical efficiency test
2.Written exam.
3. Personal interview.

Written exam:

The candidates who have qualified in the PET are to appear for the written
test of 20 marks (Objective type) in :

Maths
Physics/Science
Computer awareness.

Procedure to apply for the exam :

You have to fill the application form in prescribed format along with a requisite documents

The last date to apply for the SI post is : 10/04/2012

For these states State of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizorum, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim and Ladhak Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island and lakshadweep the last date is 17/04/2012.
