Re: Short tricks to solves Math's questions in Bank PO exam?
Dear friend,
There are no mathematical related problems in the bank po exams. But there is quantitative aptitude. In which most of the questions are from percentages profit & loss simple interest & compound interest time and work time and distance Hcf and lcm alligations and some other topics. There are no specific trics but there are shortcuts in solving problems. Make sure that you have to complete the problem with in very less time. The only thing to get the problems done in less time is by repeated doing of the same problem. So that after sometimes doing the problem you may solve just by mind thinking any mind calculation. Try to inculcate this. All the best |

Re: Short tricks to solves Math's questions in Bank PO exam?
*If you work out for more then 50 question you will get better idea to solve the problem for eg
consider what is the square root for 55, how much time it takes for you? short cut is any number end with 5 means ,take the multiple with five (5*5=25) and for first number here it is 5 so what is next number of 5, that is 6 so multiple (5*6=30) put that together 3025 is the answer Best of luck |

There are many short cut methods used to solve math’s question in a bank PO exam. You can purchase books which contain all the step by step process to solve math’s questions. The best option to learn the short cut method is to join a coaching class. One can learn lot of tricks and tips from these classes. Self learning won’t be effective to learn these methods.

Re: Short tricks to solves Math's questions in Bank PO exam?
Hi User
I have given many PO exams and as far as i see nothing matters but the practice...Short cuts although useful but in case applied wrong can cost you..besides nothing beats the practice...calculations are such that even short cuts sometimes make them complex..its just about doing practice again and again...take 10 years sample papers and fix a particular time and start solving them..you dont need to know all of them but you have to make sure you are a certain percentage above the minimum cutoff in order to qualify for interview Good Luck |

Re: Short tricks to solves Math's questions in Bank PO exam?
square of any two digit number.......like 12, 47, 93 etc
FOR EXAMPLE '12' .... square both the digit 1*1 2*2, u will get 1 & 4 and write them as 0104 ( just put a '0' if it is a single digit ans) ..............................then multiply the last digit of the basic no (in case of 12 it is 2) with 2 and then multiply it with first digit (in case of 12 it is 1), that means 2*2= 4*1= 4. now add both the ans (that means 0104 and 4) in this way 0104 4 ------ 0144............that's the final result.......1st time it may look like complicated but in real it is not |

Re: Short tricks to solves Math's questions in Bank PO exam?
better u al go thru d base method to find d sq. Root or any short of multiplication
47 sq or say 47*47 take d base 50 nw d 47 is 3 less to 50 so substract 3 frm 25 =22 wondring fr 25? Its base rule for 50 nw we 22_ _ fr d two vacate places multiply d diff. Of d digit wid d base like here 50-47=3 3 frm d next 3*3=09 fr d base system we hv to use digit in couple! U cud multiply any digit wid base systm 12*12 add last digit of 2nd no. Here it is 2 wid d 1st 12 2=14 and multiply d diffrnc of d digit wid base here base is 10 and 12 is 2 more to it 2*2=4 ans144 fr more visit website glad2teach |

Re: Short tricks to solves Math's questions in Bank PO exam?
First find out nearest no. which easy to calculate the square, now here 50 is the nearest to 47, and the difference between these two is 3.
first calculate, square of 50 = 2500 now use difference i.e. 3, Multiply by 3 to both i.e. 50 and 47, we get - 50* 3 = 150 and 47*3= 141 add these two i.e.= 150+141= 291 Here 50 is greater than 47 so Deduct this 291 from 2500= 2500-291= 2209(Square of 47) you can use 40 also to calculate this see Difference = 7 square of 40 = 1600 now use difference i.e. 7, Multiply by 3 to both i.e. 40 and 47, we get - 40* 7 = 280 and 47*7= 329 Add these two i.e. 280+329=609 But here 40 is smaller than 47 so we have to add this 609 in 40s square instead to deduct it i.e. = 1600+ 609=2209 Mu |
